World Book Day!
Year One looked amazing in their book character costumes today.
Thank you to parents and carers for all the effort that went into the costumes.
Have a lovely week off. See you all on Monday 25th February.
There is NO homework for half term!
Today (14th February) some of the class went out to measure various objects. First we used cubes to measure then rulers. Finally we made the most of the lovely weather and used metre sticks to measure our playground. Well done to all 8 children, what a super lesson we had! Mrs Southon.
We had so much fun today (17th January) in our science lesson. We had to predict and find out which material made the best crash mat for an egg to land on.
We had 6 materials to test: Paper, Fabric, Stones, Plastic, Sand and Water.
Mr Langford visited during our lesson and predicted that Stones would be the best material. We weren't convinced so carried out the experiment (see the lovely photos!)
We proved that Mr Langford was wrong! Fabric was the best material for a crash mat.
Enjoy the photos. Mrs Southon
Mrs Southon's "On Track Maths" group.
Today (8th January) we completed a Fingerprint table. Well done everyone, you enjoyed reading the numbers in the table and finger painting the same number of spots! Mrs Southon

We were very lucky this morning as we were visited by some amazing animals from "Zoo Lab". Some children were braver than me when the Corn snake and Tarantula came out! Enjoy the photos! Mrs Southon 😀
Next week is Anti - Bullying week 12th - 16th November. Just a reminder that Friday 16th is Odd Sock Day. I am hoping everyone will take part. I wonder who will have the funniest socks? Mrs Southon
