We have had a lot of fun this term.
The children have learned to retell and change the story Owl Babies in literacy lessons.
They have learned to name and describe 2D and 3D shapes and made rockets using these shapes.
They have been learning about Space and experimenting with making craters by dropping different sized objects in bowls of flour.
The class have been busy completing more of their Enrichment Passports too. They have visited a place of worship (Holy Innocent's Church) where Deacon Barry talked to them about the Church and all of the celebrations that take place there.
The children then sent him a thank you card and posted it into the postbox, another activity on their passports completed too.
The class had a lot of fun performing the Class Liturgy about Celebrations to the adults in their family. They each learned their lines and were confident to speak out loud in front of everyone. They made pictures of celebrations and talked about the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple. The children also learned two new hymns and performed them in the liturgy.
Well done Reception!
