Dear parents and children,
I hope you're all ready for a new week of home learning.
This week we are going to celebrate World Ocean Day - I thought this would tie in nicely with our work on plastic pollution last week. Have a look on the website -there are so many good activities, videos and interactive opportunities to learn and get involved. I've highlighted a few on the timetable... https://worldoceanday.school/.
The plan is to keep going with the Talk for Writing booklet on Rainbows as well. This week the writing focus is about something that interests you...
This week is the week that we begin one of my fav topics in Year 2 - THE GREAT FIRE OF LONDON!
We begin by learning what London was like back then in 1666... This was such an interesting time in London, and people do actually say that even though the fire devastated much of London, it was in fact a good thing for London...
I hope you are keeping well.
I miss you all.
Love Mrs Connon
Read and discuss the story about forgiving based on Matthew 5:43-48
Activity:
Talk about forgiving - what do I need to do when someone has hurt me? Recall a time when this has happened to you, make a story board about it, include links between the story of Jesus and forgiveness.
